The night after the game in the post below, the Cubs walked in a run with 2 outs to go down 2-1 to the Pirates. They then forced a runner at second base to end the inning, but the umpire called the runner safe, allowing 2 runs to score and the inning to continue. Fortunately, there is instant replay and the call was reversed.

Dear Editor,
I am puzzled as to why a fine journalistic site as this has not commented on the poor Officiating of The NHL against the Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Team. Too many Men on the Ice Penalties not being called against the Anaheim Ducks in a Crucial Game 7 and also the Slashing and dirty stick play by the Ducks against the Hawks that was never called by the Ref’s.
I would like to have some Commentary on how this NHL Dynasty Blackhawks Team has overcome the Blatant Bias of the Refs and the Media to Reach the Stanley Cup Final.
Please ask the esteemed Editor to comment.

Edmund, thank you for your great insight! I agree that the refs missing that too-many-men-on-the-ice penalty could have turned the series around. The Ducks appeared to be more interested in physically punishing the Blackhawks for much of the series, and commented throughout that the purpose was to wear them down for late in the series. That’s one reason it was so gratifying that the Blackhawks dominated Games 6 and 7. I am all for legislating the slashing and dirty play out of the game.
